The family origin of our company dates back to 1985, the year in which Adrián Blasco and Engracia Rey founded the first cheese factory with the name Quesería Rey. They set out to recover the production of those cheeses that originally belonged to our land, the result of the livestock and gastronomic traditions of Cáceres.

 

Currently Quesos del Casar S.L. It is directed by Mario Blasco Rey, who represents the second generation of the family that continues to keep the essence of its founders alive with the same enthusiasm and drive.

Quesos del Casar SL. It is a service company. Since our beginnings we have adapted a strategy of continuous improvement to earn the trust of our clients.

The commitment to our clients is based on respect for health regulations at the highest level. We care about guaranteeing the traceability of all our cheeses from the producers’ farm to the consumer. We check our facilities daily to guarantee the food safety of all the batches we manufacture.

SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL COMMITMENT

Our awareness of the environment is reflected in a solid and liquid waste management protocol that guarantees its recycling and use of waste water, whey, plastic and cardboard. With the same spirit, we are replacing the consumption of Diesel with Liquefied Gas and the generation of solar energy for more sustainable consumption.

 

Our commitment to the town and the environment is reflected in the generation of 40 direct jobs and more than 30 indirect jobs that favor the development of a rural economy so necessary in our times.

  • PDO Torta del Casar. We produce 40% of the total manufacturing of Torta del Casar PDO.
